Job Description

At GemPool we are currently working with a leading provider of innovative digital solutions, dedicated to enhancing business performance through cutting-edge technology and strategic initiatives. They are seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to define, deliver, and manage PMO processes, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives. This role is pivotal in managing the full range of PMO products at a portfolio level and providing comprehensive reporting and assurance functions.

Core Responsibilities
  • PMO Processes and Standards: Define, deliver, and manage PMO processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance across all programs and projects.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the portfolio, tracking and reporting performance, identifying risks and issues, and supporting projects to resolution.
  • Budget Planning and Management: Support budget planning processes and manage portfolio expenses and capital, ensuring alignment with budget and performance goals.
  • Resource and Capacity Planning: Develop and manage capacity planning and resource management, anticipating future demand based on business strategy and pipeline.
  • Change Management: Formulate and facilitate change requests, working with project and business teams, and manage the change roadmap, identifying dependencies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop positive relationships with project sponsors, teams, and business owners, promoting project management disciplines and upskilling the wider business.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a complex change environment.
  • PMO Leadership: Proven experience in setting up and leading an enterprise-level PMO function, with strong skills in planning, risk management, financial management, resource management, reporting, and change control.
  • Program Planning: Extensive experience in complex program planning and execution.
  • Portfolio Management: Preferable experience in portfolio management, aligning initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Project Delivery and Assurance: Experience in program and project management delivery and assurance.
  • Flexibility and Cultural Competence: Ability and flexibility to travel and work effectively in different countries and cultures.
