Senior EngineerPurpose: Senior Engineers produce design drawings, diagrams, schematics, project specifications, and schedules for building services design, ensuring compliance with Irish and European Standards, Building Regulations, and CIBSE guidelines. Responsibilities:
Take full project briefings and prepare conceptual and scheme designs.
Manage detailed design solutions and feasibility studies.
Lead projects from an electrical/mechanical perspective and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Prepare technical specifications and analyze complex engineering problems.
Liaise with clients to ensure timely project delivery.
Check detailed design solutions and engineering drawings.
Manage workload, resources, and technical delivery of engineering teams.
Produce and check design documentation and calculations.
Attend client and site meetings; review and snag installations.
Ensure technical quality of designs and project documentation.
Skills/Training/Competencies:
Engineering degree or equivalent with 5-10 years of experience.
Proficiency in CAD and IES simulation where possible.
Strong knowledge of modeling software (e.g., Dialux, Elevate, Trimble, Amtech/IES).
Advanced knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, and industry practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for preparing specifications and contract documents.
Demonstrable advanced experience in mechanical/electrical engineering design services.
Reporting Structure: Senior Engineers report to the Directors.
