Our client, a leading provider of technology consulting and engineering solutions, is seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join their team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is 80% on-site. Location: Nenagh, Co. Tipperary This client will accept both contract or perm. There is no sponsorship provided with this client.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems, services, and APIs.
Collaborate with engineering teams to architect and implement features that align with product goals.
Identify technical requirements and assist with planning and development of new features.
Write automated developer tests for new and existing features.
Ensure low response times and optimal performance across services.
Take ownership of new products/features from development through to deployment.
Requirements:
Strong experience in Java development, including microservices, REST, and GraphQL.
Proficiency in databases (relational and non-relational).
Experience with Spring Boot and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud).
Problem-solving and debugging skills.
