GemPool Recruitment is hiring an Application Support Technician on behalf of our client, a provider of banking software solutions. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting software issues, and assisting with system installations and maintenance.
Key Details
Full, clean driving license required – travel is a key part of this role.
Ireland & Northern Ireland (occasional UK travel required)
Candidates must have their own vehicle.
This role does not provide sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and application support across software and hardware environments.
Install and configure software both remotely and on-site.
Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues.
Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Escalate complex issues when required and follow through to resolution.
Travel to customer sites across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to the UK.
Requirements
Experience working in a Windows PC and server environment.
A broad understanding of software installation, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills, with experience in a customer-facing role.
Exposure to SQL Server is beneficial, particularly the ability to write queries and understand database structures.
