About the Role As a Java Software Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our multi-functional delivery team, collaborating closely with product owners, quality engineers, and fellow developers. Your input will be valued as we continuously enhance our processes and products. You'll be working with the latest technologies to build some of Ireland's most well-known and visited websites.
Salary Range: €50-75,000 *This is a remote position that may require travel to their Dublin offices once a quarter so only candidates based in Ireland will be considered.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain features across our platforms.
Ensure our codebase is clean, scalable, and secure.
Collaborate within an agile team environment.
Partner with product, quality, and site reliability teams.
Required Experience:
3-5 years of Java software development experience
Understanding of Object-Oriented Design.
Experience with MVC, IoC, and ORM frameworks.
Proficiency with databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
Experience building RESTful APIs.
Self-starter with strong analytical skills and effective time management.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Degree or Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
Passion for technology and eagerness to adopt new trends.
Standout Experience:
Familiarity with Spring, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
Background in building microservices and working with messaging queues.
Knowledge of Prometheus/Grafana for monitoring services.
