Those with qualifications like CompTIA A+, combined with the right attitude and enthusiasm for data center work, tend to make remarkable progress early in their careers.

From there, there is no limit to where you may direct and drive your career, with a number of different technician levels there is always room to grow once you are focused and continuing to upskill and focus on what skills and certificates are in demand.

The career path for entry-level Data Centre Technicians typically involves progressive steps that allow individuals to gain experience, develop technical skills, and take on more responsibilities. Here's a general outline of a typical career path:

Data Centre Technician – L1

Data Centre Technician – L2

Skills Developed:

It is also important to note that as you enter the data centre industry there is also different directions your journey can go, showing an interest into different skills sets and an aptitude to develop these skills can lead you down the path of a career in Network Engineering, Network Security, Systems Administration, Cloud Computing, Data Centre Architecture and Design, Automation and Scripting, and Data Centre Project Management
